This handmade messenger bag is upcycled from a couple of interesting garments. The outside flap is an old men’s wool blazer or, what some call a suit coat. The lining and pockets are made from a super cute 50s style dress that was obviously made by a novice sewist. This was the first time I’d ever deconstructed a garment made be a home sewist and it was rather interesting. The black and white slub canvas on the outside is a new fabric from my sewing room.
